Emerging thru Movement is a fun, easy, educational & effective cardiovascular program created to increase strength, flexibility, balance & body awareness. The program is based on the premise that the body is a system of wheels within wheels and specifically designed to stimulate the lymphatic system to remove toxins & energize the body. Lower back pain is often attributed to poor posture, stress & decreased flexibility. Movements are designed to stretch and strengthen the core, the primary stabilizer of the spine. Stability can be improved thru balance exercises. Special attention is given to the foot & ankle to strengthen those muscles that help prevent fractures and falls. Strength training and range of motion are important for functional living, which is also specifically addressed in the program. Eastern & Western philosophies of movement optimize peace and tranquility. Slow gentle movements relax and rejuvenate the mind, body & spirit. Deep breathing essential and frequently addressed. The program incorporates techniques of Tai-Chi and Qi Gong as its method of relaxation and de-stressing the body. Western Spiritual Music is used. Fur success and renewed energy, Emerging thru Movement is designed to educate as well as address Cardiovascular Endurance, Muscular Strength, Endurance, Flexibility, Coordination, Power, Agility and Balance ~ seven of the ten components of fitness. The final segment is designed to engage the body in a slow, controlled, total body stretch and connect with nature and the spirit to renew the student's "Zest for Life."
